Chocolate chip less cookies

My daughter lindsey knows that I am not a fan of chocolate chips. So she tried her own recipe and left the chocolate chips out. This has got to be the best chocolate chip less cookie I have ever put in my mouth. It has a great texture of a chocolate chip, but no chocolate, Yea.

Lindsey has become a very good little cook since she got married (May). I am very proud of her and I am sure she would not mind me sharing her cookie recipe.

Chocolate Chip Less Cookie

1 cup butter-soft
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 t vanilla
2 eggs
21/4 cup plain flour
1 t soda
1/2 t salt
nuts if desired

Preheat oven to 375
Cream butter and sugar, brown sugar and vanilla. Stir in eggs. Beat well.
In another bowl mix dry ingredients. Gradually add dry mix to butter mix. Stir till mixed good. Add nuts.
Drop by teaspoons on cookie sheet. Bake 8-10 min. cool and enjoy!

Hi! I just found this recipe because my father-in-law LOVES chocolate chip cookies without chocolate chips! This recipe turned out delicious - and the dough was tasty too :)

thank you! i happen to love chocolate chip cookies, and chocolate chip cookie dough icecream, minus the chocolate chips. i thought i was the only one! finally i have found a recipe.

Great recipe. I've always had a problem with getting the cookies without the chips to turn out right. Your's worked great. I also took about a cup and a half (perhaps a little less) of the dough, and added roughly 1/8 cup of cocoa baking powder to it, and they turned out amazing. I got the same great chocolate taste, without the chips. :)
